Blodband Food, Drink, Alcohol & Substance Policy

At Blodband, we've worked hard to create a space that feels like a second home for our community. To keep the store running smoothly and our gaming areas clean, safe, and welcoming, we ask everyone to follow the guidelines below.
 

Between 10:00am and 6:00pm

During our daytime opening hours, only food and drinks bought from Blodband may be consumed in-store.
 

We're a small independent business, and purchases made in-store help us keep the lights on, run events, and continue building the community we all enjoy. We really appreciate everyone's support with this.
 

If you'd like to grab lunch elsewhere, that's absolutely fine – we just ask that outside food and drinks aren't brought back into the store before 6:00pm.
 

After 6:00pm

Once our evening events kick off, you're welcome to bring in food and drinks purchased from outside businesses.

We'd especially love to see our community supporting other local independent businesses. Whether it's a takeaway, a coffee, or a snack from a nearby shop, supporting local businesses helps our whole community thrive.
 

Alcohol & Drugs

Blodband operates a strict zero-tolerance policy towards illegal drugs and alcohol.
 

Alcohol is not permitted in the store at any time. Customers may not bring alcohol onto the premises, consume alcohol in-store, or attend events while intoxicated.
 

Likewise, the possession, use, or distribution of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.

The store is located within The Maltings, which also enforces a zero-tolerance approach to drugs, alcohol, and anti-social behaviour.

We fully support and uphold these rules to ensure that Blodband remains a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
 

Anyone found to be in breach of this policy may be:
 

  • Asked to leave the premises immediately.

  • Removed from events without a refund where applicable.

  • Temporarily or permanently banned from the store and community spaces.

  • Reported to The Maltings management and, where necessary, the police.

     

A Few Common-Sense Rules
 

  • Please tidy up after yourself and use the bins provided.

  • Keep drinks and food away from cards, miniatures, gaming mats, and merchandise wherever possible.

  • If something is particularly messy or likely to damage products, staff may ask that it is not brought into the gaming area.

  • Staff reserve the right to refuse any food or drink item that may cause damage, disruption, or health and safety concerns.
